Question 1

How is Chiko AI different from standard AI chatbots?

Accepted Answer

Chiko runs directly in your Chrome side panel. Instead of pasting text into an external chat, Chiko extracts page content in your browser, creates structured outlines, and links every answer to the exact source paragraph with 1-click citation pills.

Question 2

Which AI models can I connect to Chiko?

Accepted Answer

Chiko supports direct Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) for 6 top AI providers: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o, Google Gemini, Groq Llama, xAI Grok, and Perplexity. You can also use our built-in free tier with zero API keys required.

Question 3

Does Chiko AI store or sell my reading data?

Accepted Answer

No. Pages are processed locally in your browser. Chiko never sells your browsing history or uses your personal reading data to train third-party AI models. Saved documents remain in your private, encrypted library.

Question 4

Does Chiko work on paywalled or login-protected pages?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Because Chiko operates natively as a Chrome extension inside your active tab, it reads the rendered DOM directly. This allows it to summarize private dashboards, internal wikis, and authenticated research libraries without server scraping.

Question 5

How does 1-click citation tracking work?

Accepted Answer

When Chiko answers a question or produces an outline, each point includes a clickable citation pill. Clicking a citation immediately scrolls your active browser tab to the source text and highlights the exact sentence.

Question 6

What payment methods are supported for Pro subscriptions?

Accepted Answer

We support both Nigerian naira (NGN) and US dollars (USD) through Paystack. You can pay with local debit cards, Mastercard, Visa, Verve, and direct bank transfers.

Question 7

What is included in the Free tier?

Accepted Answer

The Free plan gives you 3 complete page summaries per day, 50,000 chat tokens, multi-document comparison up to 2 pages, and full Markdown export. No credit card is required to get started.

Question 8

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can cancel your subscription with 1 click from your account dashboard. You will retain full access until the end of your current billing period.
